Former Division Fellow appointed as non-resident Fellow at the Dubai School of Governance
United Arab Emirates, Dubai, April 17, 2011: Dr Mohammed Al Redha, acting director of the Health Data and Information Analysis Department, Health Policy and Strategy Sector at the DHA, is the first Emirati physician to be appointed as a non-resident fellow at the Dubai School of Government in the field of healthcare.
Speaking about his appointment, Dr Al Redha said, "I consider this, to be an opportunity for building synergies between the DHA and the Dubai School of Government to develop strategic plans and proposals related to the UAE health sector, for our decision-makers in the Emirates."
Dr Al Redha and an elite group of individuals at the Dubai School of Government will undertake research and study the health sector in the UAE, to propose plans that will help further strengthen the healthcare sector, these plans will be presented to the top-notch healthcare decision makers in the country.
The Dubai School of Government (DSG) is a research and teaching institution that focusses on public policy in the Arab world. Established in 2005 under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, in cooperation with the Harvard Kennedy School, DSG aims to promote good governance through enhancing the region's capacity for effective public policy.
The Dubai School of Government also collaborates with regional and global institutions in its research and training programs. In addition, the School organizes policy forums and international conferences to facilitate the exchange of ideas and promote critical debate on public policy in the Arab world.
The School is committed to the creation of knowledge, the dissemination of best practice and the training of policy makers in the Arab world. To achieve this mission, the School is developing strong capabilities to support research and teaching programs.
